Week in review

Hello everyone! In an effort to streamline all I do I am attempting to blog once a week (on weekends) and cover most things that occur during the week. Let's see how it goes.

I am really enjoying my reading. I was very disappointed in "Time Travelers Wife" and turned to "The Host" with caution. I mean, how could the Twilight Saga be topped? Well, I guess I went in with the right attitude as I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed reading it. It's always hard after such a good book to pick up something else. I am trying this recommendation from the library - Wendy Harmer. She is an Aussie and, in fact, writes Katies' favourite books the "Pearlie" series for kids. So I will give it a try but I am on the search for my next great read. I am also loving picking up random CDs from the library each week to listen to. I really love this current one "Jane Monheit" - great music.

Now, in another effort at streamlining, I am contemplating deleting my photo blog - will see about that one. So here is some of my Project 365 photos for this week - all the others can be found HERE. I liked this first one as Katie was bugging me about playing "Transformer Chess" - 4 y.o style!! The other two shots I chose to include because they show I have been on a quest to find fresh peas for my kids so they would know they did not come from a plastic bag in the freezer!! Finally got some and they were a great snack for a few days. Now to grow some of our own. And to my sweet Den ... he brings me flowers so often. Thanks babe! Love you!

Now to this week's scrapping! Still enjoying my guest CT with Shen and the wonderful "Creashens" she has! It was a bit of a bonus to score this month as it is Catscrap birthday and there is heaps of challenges, fun and freebies! Shen ran challenge called "The Right Accent" which was loads of fun. If you are still quick you can go to the Catscrap blog and get yourself this freebie and play!

Sue Cummings has come out with a couple more products this week. It's so funny when I scrap. The best pages come together in minutes - literally - but I would not describe myself as a speed scrapper - I mean you can fiddle for ages can't you!! In my opinion, it either works or it doesn't - KWIM? This page for Sue took less than ten minutes. I know it is my minimalist style but without a doubt it is the designs you work with for sure.

Now the really really exciting news it Leiko is BACK! This weekend she is releasing her new kit "be loved" and it is gorgeous. Remember to stop by her blog for a chance to win at the beginning of next week. For my layout I used the FREE template at the Oscraps copycat challenge. I always struggle with circles so TG for the template! I was really happy with how it turned out, given that it is not my usual style (if I do indeed have a style).

Finally, my Nina. You will not find a sweeter person than this lady and her work always brings out the best in my scrapping. I loved this photo of my two - Katie follows her big brother everywhere. Most of the time he is pretty tolerant and even will go back to "rescue" her when she is stuck too high!

Remember to click on the scrap page to read the credits and where to get these fabulous kits. There are always links in my sidebar to galleries, shops and even my Flickr site.

Have a wonderful week everyone :)
