Just a taste of what we have been up to .... today!!!

Okay today marks the halfway point of the holidays .... I am like that little train trying to get up the hill ... " I think I can ... I think I can" LOL! No, seriously, having a blast .... you know me, love having my kids home. So here is what we got up to .... today! Yes ... all this in one day!

Plenty of free time which is always a must, however, we got up and went for an early bike ride. Hughie on the "beast" as his huge new bike is nicknamed and me hauling Katie along in the trailer. It was then time for a game of Battleship - Hugh says to say he won! We then went to the library for African drumming classes. What is it about drumming that brings out the tribal instincts and you just have to move to the beat. Love it and it bought back so many memories for me as well. Maybe this was more about me than the kids - it was great music (thus my video for you below). I also had fun while there trying to photograph drumming ... not easy but the b/w above is not so bad. Finally we came home to make gingerbread men! Now as many of you know I hate baking and Den is the cook in this family. But the kids had a blast and told me they taste good to boot! That's all that counts!

Warning: its LOUD!

You don't cook! GOOD... so there isn't something you don't do... hehehe! I despise cooking!!! I much prefer to clean... and cooking seems counterproductive to keeping my kitchen clean! LOL!

Anyway, stopped by because I have an award waiting for you at my blog, my friend!

Hugs and have a great week!

I am so late with comments... sorry. I really am... especially YOU as YOU are the one who got me interested in digi scrapping. I just love your work, Helen... it's YUMMERS!!! I just went through all of your photos and layouts looking at every detail. How did you learn PSE?? I remember when you got it. I signed up last night for the 2nd of 3 Photoshop classes from Jessica Sprague. It starts next week. (I should have sent this in an email) Oh, goody... Boyd is off the phone and I can go listen to your Drums.
You have a spot in my heart dear lady,
Joni
PS Applause for your hardware store and the wonderful things they do for kids.
