Fun with Fairytales

Hugh has been studying fairytales at school this term. Today was dress up day. It's pretty hard for boys, I mean its not like a seven year old boy wants to dress as a handsome prince - lol! There were a few Shreks and plenty of Jack and the bean stalks. I racked my brain and came up with a fave tale of ours - The Elves and the Shoemaker. Hugh went dressed as the shoemaker with a toy elf and hammer stuck in his belt. He was very thrilled with his beard though. Can't you just see him as an adult - yikes! It suits him and I am not much into facial hair! He looks SSSOOO grown up!! They had a parade and the children in Hugh's class had pre-recorded plays. Hugh's was, "The Pig who cried Wolf" and he was so happy and proud to say his lines.
Here is a photo of Hugh and Ethan (Jodie's son). Jodie, who is from our photography group, has more photos at her Flickr site. Thanks Jod!
Here is Hugh and Alesha. These two have known each other and been best buddies since they were two years of age.
Nathan lives across the road and is another great buddy of Hugh's. Every Wednesday and Thursday I drive them all to school.
This is Hugh's teacher - Mrs Wilkinson. He just adores her. She is strict (like his Mum - probably why he relates lol) and runs a tight ship. Seems everyone had a great day.l

Hi Helen,

Just taking a break at my work to take a look at your blog. I'm still thinking off make one off my own, but don't know how, maybe you can help me with it?? I would love to share our family things around the house with you and others :-) Cute pic btw, great idea to dress Hughie up as the shoemaker.
Love from overseas,
Astrid

Helen- two things- how are you getting the circular haze type thing around those photos?
And, if you go to Nancy's flickr folder of the junk yard, she has great "5" shots. The odometer and gmc 250, but she was crazy busy this week. I'm sure she won't mind if you take a peek!
Have a great weekend!
