A few incidentals

A big pat on the back goes to our little man. Yesterday at the school cross country he came third in the Grade 1 all boys level! WTG Hugh! We are so proud of you - even if you did "bend a bone". And Wendy .... how thrilled was I to hear some reading going on in my daughters room this evening that I had to run and get my camera. Here she was sitting atop her toy box (who needs a seat?) and reading her new Pearlie book. I love to plug books and especially when they are Australian. We are all big fans of the Pearlie the Fairy series written by our own comedian Wendy Harmer (and even read by her as we first discovered by borrowing the book on CD from the library). I bought Katie a new one yesterday and when you see stuff like this you know why I do it. WTG Chonka!

We love Pearlie in this house. Haven't seen that book though so looks like a search of bookshops is in order. Miss Six bought home bookclub the other day and has a new Pearlie book circled in it. (She actually has about 20 books circled but we have to draw the line somewhere).
