We had a restful weekend. Friday saw us out for Den's work dinner/Christmas get-together. The entree of stuffed mushrooms were to die for! Sadly the photo of Den and I not so good...but okay if I kept it small. Just like us I guess! Saturday it rained all day and I don't think Katie and I got out of our jammies! Sunday we were off - a bike ride. I was very proud of myself hauling Katie in her trailer with her bike attached to the trailer. What a convoy! We came home and thanks to Leah and her recommended Christmas carol downloads from her blog, we had a wonderful time playing lots of carols on the computer. Thanks Leah! It truly does help one to get in the spirit of the season. Even Hugh must have subconsciously picked up on it as next he appeared in the doorway as Rudolf! Den could not get enough of this version of "Have yourself a Merry little Christmas" and would love to now get back into music - can I forsee some sing-a-longs in the future? I would have to say though that the highlight for me was Judy Garlands "Have yourself a Merry little Christmas" - now I am desperate to see "Meet me in St Louie" again! - if only video shops would stock some of the Golden Years of Hollywood stuff. My Mum bought me up on them and I just adore these films. Well.....off in search of some more Judy. Have a great week everyone!

Oh Helen what a wonderful blog!! I love the photos and I can't wait to check out more of them...I so love the old movies and thank goodness we have satillite so we get "TMC"...that is all they show...When PP is gone that is the station I watch the most...You know if I hook the satillite up to my computer I can tape the movies and put them over to the DVD type for Australia...hmmm a might try that and a GREAT idea for someones birthday, LOL...you'll need to send me a list of the movies you'd like to have...I'm off to flickr...and your making me want to turn "TMC" on but then I'd never get to sleep...Ekkk
Oh!! I am so loving that version of Have yourself a Merry little Christmas by Judy Garland. I just have to download it now!! Love all the flicker pics.. I can't wait to see the one of Katie and Den scrapbooked.. hint hint! I adore the lavender and pipe pics too!!
