School holiday activities ..... bring it on.

Yesterday I sat down and worked out our next four weeks. Can't help myself .... always the teacher. So stay tuned for what we get up to.
So here is day one ... off to Bunnings Hardware store to make mobiles. Loads of glue (that actually ate into the foam) and sticky hands, but hey! Get to do it and not in my house! LOL!

The finished product!
Another big feature in the Hancock household in the beginning of January is the Dakar Rally! My boys and their cars! Last year was cancelled (used to be called Paris to Dakar) due to instability in Africa. This year they have changed continents to South America. Every night straight after dinner the whole family assembles to watch the bikes, cars and trucks traverse the elements!
Riveting stuff I know!

now see if it were me, i would make out a 4 week schedule and then never follow through with it. thank god i didn't become a teacher, that would have been really scary!!

No, that sounds very exciting.
Love your schedule!! There is much of a schedule for us to be had. School, work or no school and no work, hibernation, and fending of viruses. I envy you and your summer holidays!

You are so well organized!! Those mobiles are terrific....what a great kid project!! And I love the Dakar Race...it's so much fun to watch, though I can't imagine doing such a thing!! But what a fun family activity to have each evening!!

I wonder about the time thing too! Just where do you find it?
I also had these schedules for my kids years ago....even had a space for a star for every book they finished, or for every chore completed etc etc...with bonus prizes! And I was never a teacher, I just like to have me and those around me organized! And labeled! Drives DH nuts...I should stop trying to organize an impossible subject! But the Virgo in me can't help it!
Love it that you are following the race together...we used to do that for the Tour de France.

Ugh...I am still stunned at all the activities they have for the children...Can I ship Michael over there for his next Holiday, lol...I was cleaning out my tackle box the other day and noticed some plastic worms had eaten into some Styrofoam bobbers, wonder if they are made out of that same glue, lol...Yes a Mess is always better at another place other than our houses, lol...Looks like Katie and Hugh had fun and love their mobiles...Wow I didn't know about the race...That is pretty cool...Thanks for sharing, I learned something new today!!
Laughing at Val's comment is she insinuating you don't have a BRAIN, ha ha ha...
