Our weekend

I survived the weekend....but boy! Was I tired Saturday night. Dinner way yummy Friday night (thanks Daryl!) and Saturday bought the predicted rain! rain! rain! Poor Hugh. He did not want to do the parade at all!! There I was being the "good Mum" giving that pep talk! If you click on the photo below to the right you can actually see the rain they were walking in! Poor kids. Of course, needless to say, as soon as the parade was over the sun came out! But it was just one of those typical spring days. At one stage I got a wave (below left) and even a smile! At the end of it all he said he was glad that he did it. Even more so today when each participant was presented with a gift bag of "tricks" from Santa at school assembly today.
Next was fairy party #1 - Christall. This is Katie's "teddy creche" friend and they are inseparable! Katie was her only little friend there and they just hugged and giggled the whole time.
Finally it was onto fairy party #2! Talia! The fairy that came to the party and did magic tricks and was "so beautiful" had them all mesmerised. I swear Katie pushed and shoved her way to the front and ended up on her lap just about! Like I always thought, I have not worries about my daughter - she is a determined little soul. Needless to say all had a good time. Even Hugh - who I gave an "out clause" to in case he felt awkward surrounded by so much girly stuff, was spellbound by "the fairy". Yea (clapping hands)! So glad everyone had fun and your loooong weekend is over!! What a very busy Saturday! Glad Hugh stuck to his guns and did the parade! It looks like it was well worth it even if the weather was a bit miserable! Two Fairy parties in one day, Yikes!! Looks like Katie truly enjoyed herself and Hugh too! Kudo's to you Mum for the photos and for putting up with everything!

Sorry it took me so long to get here!! What a busy and wet weekend you had! I'm glad that Hugh decided to do the parade, rain or not....nothing does more to bring out the Christmas spirit! And I'd like to think that Katie had her fill of Fairy parties over the weekend, but I know better!! :) Wonderful photos as always! TFS!!
