The last few days ......

Some of you may remember that Den and I have had this week off with the children. Work and school resume next week. Well apart from gardening (!) we did decide to do a few other things over the past few days. We have watched a few movies. "Nim's Island" was a big hit. Both kids loved it. We have a couple of Wendy Orr books and she actually came to Hugh's school as a guest speaker. It was a fun movie - highly recommend it for littlies. Katie has also watched the "Curious George" movie, must have been good 'cause she cried when it was over! Sheesh! And we all had to watch *tongue in cheek and eyes rolling* "Drill Bit Taylor" - puh-lease! Okay, so I did make Den sit through "Enchanted" but this Owen Wilson nonsense - "it's a boy thing,"Den says, "Hugh will love it". And he did!

We have had some great spring weather so we had a trip to Chelsea beach and the kids had a blast. It was nice to get some sunshine. And today we went on an old steam train through the forest, "Puffing Billy" it is called and quite famous in our state. So if you are up for more photos there are:
Beach photos HERE ..... Puffing Billy photos HERE ..... OH! and I caught on film and tape (YEY ME!) a kookaburra. So if you would like to see and hear our famous laughing bird go HERE!

It looks like a great week off! Rosie and I treated ourselves to Nim's Island last weekend while Sean was working and she loved it! And Curious George is a favorite at our house too. (We like the music too!) Everything looks so beautiful and green there.....You have some great photos!

Kookaburra lives in an old oak tree, merry, merry king of the bush is he... laugh, kookaburra, laugh, kookaburra... how gay your life must be - One of my favourite kids songs!!!! But can't listen to the video right now because everyone's asleep! I'll have to come back another day.

What a great week together!!!!

That looked like fun and the weather looks so good, hard to believe that at your end of the globe you have summer now, right when we are getting ready for the winter!
