Photo Challenge No.2. - June 5-11 - frame your images

I had a lot of fun this week! I probably would have only had a couple of entries except for our trip to the gardens this past weekend. So bare with me and a BIG THANK YOU to Wen for a great fun challenge - I was seeing things "framed" everywhere. Of course Den now tells me he does not like my current fetish of taking photos on an angle *sigh* oh well ..... let's hope it passes soon LOL! My fetish or his dislike - whichever comes first!
This is one of my faves. The lavendar fields were just gorgeous and this is from the balcony.

Here is my fave spot ...... SO peaceful!

Getting a bit fancy here. This was my first effort. I looked at Den and my tea mugs and how they "framed" the candle. I was excited about this as I got my tripod out and really took my time and "think" I got the lighting just right.
My second effort - when I thought I would be struggling to get one shot. I thought this window would make a good frame and was playing away when Hugh walked in to ask me a question ..... poor child! He regretted that move when he had to stand there for the next five minutes LOL!
I really liked this one too .... if you cannot already tell I am a big lavender fan.
OH NO (says Den) the angle thingy again. Hehehe.
Last but not least this fountain through the rotunda!
Thanks for looking!

Still laughing about your comment regarding Den and his dislike and you with your fetish :o) And poor Hugh he'll never come an ask a question when the camera is in your hand :o) I really can't decide which one I like best...They are all so beautiful!! I really have some work to do and it's not fair your in Autumn with the colors and lighting perfect, while we are in full summer and harsh lights, sigh!! LOL I loved that excuse...I can't wait to see what is next!!

Some beautiful shots Helen. I love the candle one... in fact I love them all. I personally love the "angle thing". Tell Den it's "dynamic framing"! The maze from the balcony's a great example of this. Keep up the good work!

BTW, I love the angles...what does he know, anyway? Then there's Brett, who thinks everything in a shot should be smack dab in the center- I always off-center them...it drives him crazy!!!

Again, what do they know? LOL!!!!

WOW, Helen, these are INCREDIBLE! And yes, I have a thing for lavender as well, so I can't help but love it the best! At our wedding reception, we put a couple of sprigs of lavender at each place setting. It was so nice to see people holding them and smelling them throughout the night. Ah, memories...!
