Blink and you miss it!

Have you ever bid on ebay? Has the item sat there for days and no one bid? But you know it was a REALLY GOOD BUY!

So I am meant to be learning PSE6! *snort* who has time? I have borrowed several books from the library but none really gelled. Then I got "Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 - Classroom in a Book" with lessons on a CD Rom. Fantastic. One month to do it. *snort* as that is the borrowing allowance.

Having a surf around ebay one day, there it is, the very book, $10. BARGAIN!

So I sit.

And I watch.

And I wait.

Finally, in case of distraction which tends to happen around here, Den says bid $20 and you'll be right. *snort*

Here I sit this very afternoon, with twenty minutes to go on the ebay auction and its all mine. Then Katie says, "Mum I want to play Barbies on the 'puter". Up I get and find her sites and set her up.

Oh! Look at the time.....auction is over.

Off I go to see my winning bid.

NOT!!!!!!

Pipped at the post. $20.50 by someone lurking in the shadows, not too disimilar to Hugh playing army outside yesterday, or better yet Den's online game Call of Duty.

To say I was peeved is an understatement. Bugger Barbie! And I only have ten days left on my library loan.

Then along comes my knight in shining armour. I write a venting email to Den.

Ten minutes later an email arrives stating my book will arrive in 1-2 working days from another destination - other than ebay.

I am one spoilt Chicky. (Either that or he is dam scared of me when I am peeved! LOL! I will let you be the judge of that)

But let's keep a little perspective here.

Some people who shall remain nameless (but here is the link to her blog) clearly won the "My Husband Loves Me Award" for this week. Go check it out. I am so excited for you HB!

You even stole my thunder with the hubby dedication blog....love the photos of PP!

But I digress.

BIG HUGS TO YOU DENNY.
THANK YOU.

Now back to pretending to learn PSE6. But at my own pace...right *snort*

ROFL!!! Hilarious! Ahem, I could have told you to never leave your post when your bidding on a hot item, but I'm not the type of person to say I told you so. LOL.

Glad to see you got the book, it looks interesting!

I'm going to bet Den was scared.

He rocks so much!

. . .and I made a new friend today. She's an Aussie girl, too. She's from Strath (?) I believe.

I blogged about her family the other day -- their baby girl is in the hospital right now. Sweet family. Very sweet.

. . .and the baby was born on my birthday. Can you say "God Aunt?"

LOL
